International projects

Members of the school community are actively involved in various national and international projects, not only to promote the name of the „Pažinimo medis” school, but also to foster a culture of lifelong learning.

At the national level, we cooperate with colleges, universities, research centres, cultural and educational institutions, and state institutions.

We are actively involved in various international projects, expanding the school’s network of partners outside Lithuania. We give priority to international projects related to STEAM and inclusive education.

Conference „Erasmus + green mobility + green schools”

4-6 May 2022 the „Erasmus+ Green Mobility + Green Schools” conference took place in Potsdam, Germany and was attended by around 230 teachers and representatives of education exchange support funds from 23 European countries. Aušra Degutytė-Kančauskienė, chemistry teacher and project coordinator, presented the NordPlus Junior project „Scientific Hiking – Secrets of Water”, coordinated by Pažinimo Medis School and implemented with partners from Norway and Latvia.
As well as hearing presentations on the European Green Deal, the environment and sustainability, participants had the opportunity to showcase the projects they are implementing in their schools. Together with teachers and education experts from other countries, Aušra discussed how international cooperation could provide a different perspective on climate change and its challenges, e.g. going to a school in Italy where children are studying how invasive plant species are causing biodiversity change in their region could give a whole new meaning to students’ discussions about ecology.
